Vonderheide Floor Coverings Company was founded by Henry Vonderheide in 1947. Henry started the floor covering business after working for someone and installing linoleum. From day one, Henry took pride in his workmanship, Henry’s son Dale also began to take interest which allowed Henry to expand his work with his wife Thada in the showroom. This was just the beginning of Vonderheide’s history. He eventually retired which opened the door for Dale and his wife Marilee to run the business. Dale’s sons, Mike, Steve, and Tim soon joined the business.
Over the years, Vonderheide has served many satisfied customers across Central Illinois. Vonderheide’s was able to expand by opening the carpet outlet in 1991. Today Vonderheide Floor Covering Company has expanded to a beautiful 8,000 square foot showroom with the main store and outlet center under one roof. The family business spans over 4 generations to ensure that all of Central Illinois and our thousands of customers receive the best quality service and value of flooring products available.
