Springfield, IL 62704

Robert Morris University in Springfield has set up a trivia night benefit for an amazing family who has endured so much with their sick baby boy. In addition to trivia, there will be a 50/50 Raffle, Silent Auction, Mulligans, and a Cash Bar.

The purpose of this benefit is to raise money to aid with the growing medical expenses incurred over the past year. Jaxon Stanley Gemberling was born on May 12, 2015 along with his twin brother Jase.  Jax only weighed 3lbs 6oz at birth and has encountered many medical issues.  Some of these medical problems include: double-outlet right ventricle with a large VSD (heart), renal agenesis (missing kidney), partial absence of corpus callosum (brain), severe scoliosis, and a gtube for feeding. The fact that Jax is alive is a miracle.  On September 15th, he went into cardiac arrest and the family almost lost him.  Currently, he is a resident of St. John’s Hospital PICU and, to date, has spent over 200 days in the hospital (the family has stopped counting).

Jax’s parents, Ann & Jay Gemberling, are not only alumni of Robert Morris University, but they are also an inspiration.  Ann is a former RMU employee and was such a motivating force and mentor to all of the students at Robert Morris.  Now the students are reversing the roles and giving back to her the way she gave to them.

* All participants Must Be Age 18+

HOW to participate...

Registration is on our website, and online payment is required.

This event is coordinated through Shazam Racing and hosted by Peoria Notre Dame Teens for Life. It was founded by two Peoria Notre Dame seniors. This is such an important cause, because abortion is a serious issue in today's society, and the Women's Care Center does many things to help pregnant women considering abortion. They provide free ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, counseling, and everything the baby needs. They receive no profit from this, so they are in need of donations to keep them going!

Please come out and support the Women's Care Center!
