Bethany Community Church announces that they will host the 2nd annual Biblical Counseling and Discipleship Conference “Dealing with Suffering in Today’s Culture” March 3rd – 5th at their church building in Washington, Illinois.

“Have you ever been at a loss when a friend is suffering, grieving, dealing with trauma, or just simply going through normal trials of life? Or what about feeling overwhelmed at your own difficult issues?” Pastor Kent Kloter asks. “Your Creator has blessed the Church of Jesus Christ with powerful and profoundly practical answers. We believe that the Gospel can equip the local church to provide robust, powerful answers found in the Bible to help us respond to the problems we face in our culture. Come and be equipped to help not only yourself but also your own church address the complex trials of everyday life. We are excited to invite you to come and see just how practical Biblical counseling and discipleship training can be to you personally.”

The conference will focus on equipping everyone in the local church, from pastors and church leaders to new believers, to grow in their ability to help others apply the life-transforming principles of God’s Word to the challenges our culture faces today.

The cost of the weekend is $15 when registered by February 10th and $25 after that date. Bring a group of 5 or more, and the registration is free!

Conference speakers include:
-Kent Kloter, Pastor of Counseling and Discipleship at BCC, Certified ACBC Counselor
-Kevin Suader, Senior Pastor at New Castle Bible Church, Mackinaw IL
-Joel Smith, Pastor of Biblical Counseling at Bethany Baptist Church, Peoria IL
-Joshua Beakley, Youth Minister at Bethany Baptist Church
-5 other speakers from Bethany Community Church, including our Senior Pastor, Dr. Daniel Bennett.

“I am so grateful to God for using Biblical counseling at our church to transform lives,” says Senior Pastor Dr. Daniel Bennett. “Through this ministry, God has done amazing things like restoring broken marriages and comforting hurting people. As a pastor, it is a joy to see people in the church prepared to encourage, exhort, and care for one another. My prayer is that this conference would help churches equip individuals in Christ's church to care for one another through the sufficiency of His Word.”

Registration information as well as track details are available online at the above Web site. Those interested can also contact Bethany Community Church via the above email or phone.
