MOMSnext • Moms in the “next phase”…those with school-age children

 

We are a group of moms who gather together to support and encourage each other through the joys and challenges of motherhood. Being a mom is beautiful and hard. We get that sometimes you just need a safe space to breathe. We meet each 1st & 3rd Tuesday Sept-May, plus informal activities during the summer…and several Moms Night Outs throughout the year. Free childcare is available for children ages 6 years & under. All volunteers have been screened and have current background checks.  The fee to join GT MOPS/MOMSnext is $75/yr. This includes MOPS International registration & local dues. (Fees are pro-rated if you join after the new session begins.)

MOPS connects women with children of all ages. Whether you have infants, preschoolers, or school age children, we believe all of us share the same desire--to be the best moms we can be! Our program is designed so that moms will experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help, and spiritual hope together.   MOPS' fee is $75.00/yr. Scholarships are available. Free childcare is provided in our Moppets program. We also have a Homeschool Program for students K-6th grade. Homeschool Program is $25.00/semester fee per student.

Community Bible Study, Peoria Evening Class 2015-2016, invites you to study the book of Isaiah!

 

The mission of Community Bible Study is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all men and women of every denomination and entry level of understanding.

 

This 30-week bible study will take place at the location listed above. (Thursday evenings, September 10-May 19).

 

Annual registration fee: $35

 

Suggested WEEKLY Lesson Donations: $2 ($60 per year) (Tax Deductible)

 

Scholarships are available.

 

This study of Isaiah highlights God's power, sovereignty, holiness, trustworthiness, and salvation. It answers questions about life, human nature, and God. A historical account illuminating what was happening in Isaiah's time and speaking to the situations of our day and even beyond. We will study that the judgment of God is best understood in the context of His righteousness and justice. It is truth for the past, today, and tomorrow. Don't miss the blessings of studying God's Word in fellowship with others. ".. He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.." Luke 24:45

 

Class members will rejoice in the exciting prophecies concerning the Messiah and find comfort in Isaiah's words of encouragement about a glorious future. (Study references the English Standard Version of God's Word.)

Dear Mom,

I’d like to invite you to consider attending the “His Princess” weekend seminar with your daughter [daughters] at Camp Good News. The retreat provides a unique opportunity to put what you’ve learned in the sessions into immediate practice with your daughter. While you are in the sessions, your daughter will enjoy some of the camp’s challenge activities like archery and the awesome zip line, along with Bible challenges of their own. On Saturday afternoon you and your daughter will participate together in the rappelling challenge using our 25 foot rappelling platform. In addition, you and your daughter will have some unusual opportunities to be alone in the woods as you work on some of the “homework” from the teaching sessions, or search for a hidden treasure with a compass! The weekend includes four delicious camp meals and a late night snack on Friday. You’ll spend the night in one of our gorgeous cabins and enjoy an inspirational campfire on Saturday night.

This is a vendor fair for our overdose and addiction awareness group, Fight the Fight.

 

We are currently raising funds to go toward resources such as: an insurance policy to protect against any injuries that may occur during our 1st annual awareness walk (being held on August 7th, 2016 in Pekin), pre-ordering of T-shirts, car decals, bracelets, etc to spread the word and raise awareness against the deadly epidemic that we are currently fighting. 

 

There are currently 20 vendors including Scenty, Thirty-One, Tupperware, Posh, Advocare, Tastefully Simple, Lauren Yoder's Books and Photography and many more.

The Association for the Developmentally Disabled of Woodford County is holding its 9th Annual Italian Feast Fundraiser sponsored by Michael's Italian Restaurant. Eat in and carry out is available.
