Join us as we study, "Red Sea to the Jordan River: A look at Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers." It's a story of how God delivered His chosen people, the Israelites from Egyptian slavery and established them as a new nation.

 

They tell the story of a holy God's faithfulness to a weak and sinful people like us. Themes like doubt and faith, complaining and grace, crisis and intercession, and failure and repentance teach us to grow spiritually mature.

 

For men, women and children. All levels of learners welcome.

 

Infant and toddler care will be provided along with a preschool through elementary age program.

The Peoria Area Civic Chorale will conclude its 35th anniversary season with a program that celebrates the power of music and singing, humor, perseverance, and the magnificent American landscape.

 

Songs will include a sing-along medley of popular songs from the early 1900s including Meet Me in St. Louis, Give My Regards to Broadway, You’re a Grand Old Flag, Carly Simon’s Let the River Run, Simon & Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water, Dolly Parton’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning, and many others.

 

The Chorale will collaborate with featured soloist Thomas Studebaker on an inspirational setting of The Lord’s Prayer. Tom, a native of Eureka, IL, has established himself as a powerful Heldentenor, having appeared with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including the London and New York Philharmonics, and opera companies since 1995.

 

The Chorale will also collaborate with the impressive young singers of the Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus on John Rutter’s For the Beauty of the Earth.

 

Friday night will feature a festival choir of 3rd and 4th grade singers from eight local schools, and Saturday night will feature a post-concert 35th anniversary cake reception sponsored by Lexus of Peoria.

 

You won’t want to miss a moment of the Peoria Area Civic Chorale’s season finale celebrating 35 years of sharing beautiful and inspirational music with Central Illinois!

Ignite Church will be volunteering with World Vision to bring the Global 6K for Water to Peoria, IL.

 

6K is the average distance children are forced to walk for dirty water each day in Africa. Lack of access to clean water is the #1 preventable cause of death, killing more children than AIDS and malaria combined. Let's walk it (or run if you want to) so they don't have to!
