Bill and Karen

We went to the tire shop and had to wait a bit as they were so busy. We in waiting room chairs near the door. A tire shop employee was giving a quote on tires to an older gentleman who was very hard of hearing. I was kind of listening in. The employee explaining about the different types of tires available and trying to set up an appointment. The customer said he would come back tomorrow at 9 a.m. Then he turned to leave. As the man walked toward us he said "It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining, birds are singing." So my husband and I said Yes it is! And the man stopped to chat with us. He had a portable oxygen tank. We asked about it and he told us he has Cancer. He was diagnosed about 15 months ago. He said God has not taken me home yet. We learned his name is Bill. What a sweet man! His wife, Karen, has Bronchitis. She uses a cpap machine and has been ill. He said sometimes he wishes she would go first, because he is afraid what will happen to her if he dies. He and his wife used to have a Farm but they sold it about a year ago to move to a smaller home. God took care of it Bill said. He is okay with the new home, but misses the cows and goats, and feels bad for his grand kids not having the Farm experience. What a sweet man. He told us he had a cemetary plot for himself and wife. He has also picked out the songs for his service: I Come to the Garden and Old Rugged Cross. After he left, my eyes were filled with tears. Please pray for Bill and Karen.
