Let’s get to know our new Afternoon Host and Creative Services Director, Jordan Pride!
Jordan and his wife Jantzen just moved here from Macon, Georgia, but they both grew up near Effingham, Illinois. Jordan has previously served as a Worship Director and is also a songwriter, producer, and singer! (Besides his musical talents, he also has experience as a power tumbler and can still perform many gymnastic feats!)
What do you love most about Christian radio?
I love that no matter when I tune into Christian Radio, I always leave a better person. Christian radio uplifts my spirit and reminds me that God is always close.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
One of my favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 16:9 that says “the heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” The verse reminds me of the truth that “We plan but God establishes.” I’m reminded that as I walk out what God is sending me into the world to do He will establish anchors and foundations that will have the strength for him to build upon. Not everything we do will be the whole structure of the future kingdom but it builds the framework for the Kingdom Come!
What is the coolest place that you have traveled to?
Australia will always have a special place in my heart because I lived there for 3 years. Although I think Milford Sound in the South Island of New Zealand was the coolest place I have ever been. An absolutely breathtaking experience.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be an MLB player for the St. Louis Cardinals. I blame my late bloomer genes as the reason that didn’t happen although I’m sure that’s not the only reason I didn’t make it to the league!
What’s one thing you can’t live without, and why?
I don’t think I could live without Q-tips. I love cleaning out my ears despite doctors not recommending using Q-tips for that reason.
What is one of your most memorable moments in ministry?
In 2021, I got the opportunity to open up in concert for Sanctus Real in my hometown of Flora, Illinois which was a super special moment. They invited me to hang out with them on their bus afterwards and it was very special to see that the guys were the same people off platform as they were on.
Tell us a little about your family!
I am the 3rd of 4 children. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother and all of our names start with the letter “J”. My parents have been married close to 40 years. I recently got married in 2022 to my wife Jantzen, and we are loving life together. We don’t have children but are excited to begin our own little family together in the future!
And what is the one thing that always makes you smile?
It always makes me smile when I get to witness others finding hope and breakthrough in their own lives.
